Join us for four weeks of Contemporary Dance with the beloved Ann Dewey.

Ann was one of my first and most favourite Contemporary teachers all those years ago and yes the blue dress lady on the front is me - dancing it up with The BodyCartography Company (one of the Contemporary dance companies I worked with in my dancing days) It is such a joy to be getting back into dancing again, on my own terms. Come and join me for this very limited four week series for a blast from the past! Not sure I can get my legs up as high as I used to though!!

Ann believes that dance is for everyone and is a pathway to unite body and spirit. Her classes are accessible for all levels of dancers and are renown for being uplifting for the whole being. The classes are firmly based in safe physical practice, while exploring new ways of approaching movement/dance. She has been teaching dance for over 30 years bringing a wealth of knowledge and an eagle eye for recognising each students individual’s needs. Above all Ann brings the spirit of dance to every class.

Ann trained at Rambert School in the UK. She performed and toured with Janet Smith & Dancers and DV8 Physical theatre before moving to NZ. In NZ she danced with Douglas Wright before becoming his rehearsal director and pursuing her own choreographic path. Ann now works with textiles and coaches dancers.
